We're headed to Kenya next month and have reservations with a safari operator. This one doesn't take credit cards or Paypal, but is okay with us paying the balance owed upon arrival.
I'm not comfortable with carrying over $1K in cash for a couple of days after arrival until the safari starts, so I'm looking for alternatives. My brilliant idea was to go "old skool" and bust out with the traveller's cheques, but alas...everything points to that not being an available option.
So should I nut up and carry the $$$ in as secure a way as possible, or am I missing an obvious alternative?
FWIW, my ATM limit per day isn't going to meet the need.
