Popular dance performances are common in the parks and gardens of North Korea. These dances are characterised by the use of the body and improvisation of previously established movements, accompanied by the sound of hand-made wind and percussion instruments. In these images we can see the beat of the music involving the audience and rocking them in a sort of collective display of joy.
