Attached is a slideshow on the trek I did in 2012 in the Cordillera Blanca. This trek, of medium difficulty, of about 72 km requires about 6 days with a with a fairly low cumulative altitude difference of - 2600 m and + 3100 m.Peru is an ideal country for treks; I have of course done the Camino del Inca from Cuzco to Machu Picchu but also done more difficult and much more spectacular treks that I particularly recommend: Los Cedros trek (same region as the trek presented here but on the North side); Trek Cordillera Huayhuash; Trek around Ausangate (one of the highest peaks in the Andes); Trek Cordillera Vilcabamba (from Choquequirao to Esperitu Pampa, the lost city of the Incas).Dominic LAURENTat-home-everywhere.com.
