Desroches Island is part of the Amirante Islands. The Century Club calls the collection Zil Elwannyen Sesel which is a part of the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean. I sought to visit Desroches on a trip. There is an excellent review of a visit to the island at:

After many phone calls and emails I gave up. There are two flights a day from SEZ on Mahe Island which is operated by Island Development Company (IDC) for the Four Seasons Resort to the landing strip DES. There are no other flights by air carriers. If one is to use IDC to get to the island one must charter the full aircraft or book through Four Seasons as an individual as a part of their charter operation. My intent was to fly to the island in the morning and back in the afternoon - about 6 hours on the island.
I my contacts with Four Seasons they went from agreeing to book a flight reservation to requiring a stay at Four Seasons called “DAY USE”. The costs for a day varied from 785 euro to 1780 euro. I certainly did not get the impression of a high end resort from the uncoordinated back and forth I experienced.
In the end, adding this country to my visited places was not worth it.

Thanks for the information. I tried to visit a couple of months ago, and like you found the cost prohibitive.
I will return in the future to visit there when the bank balance is a bit healthier!
Happy and safe travels
