TCC rules for TCC countries is quite well defined and available on the web site, but I could still not find anything for these theoretical questions.
If I have visited let's say Bratislava when Czech Republic and Slovakia still was one country, have I visited Slovakia?
If I would visit Bougainvillea area in Papua New Guinea and it would become a independent country later on, would I have visited it?
If I have visited Kaieteur Falls in Guyana and Venezuela would succeed in taking over Essequibo would I have visited Venezuela?
:-)

Yes for Bougainville. To use Bougainvillea as an example for all three cases though, if Bougainvillea had been the only place in PNG you traveled to you would have counted it as a visit to PNG. When later it became independent you could not count it for a visit to both PNG AND Bougainvillea. That’s double counting one place. Same situation would be true for Essequibo. Likewise for Czechoslovakia, you can count that as a retired country (up to Gold level) but if you do then you cannot count either Czech Republic or Slovakia no matter when those visits took place. There really is no scenario where it would be beneficial to count Czechoslovakia.
