South Pacific Islands

Hi,

I have been to only a few South Pacific Islands but would LOVE to increase my TCC count in the most efficient and economical manner.  Any suggestions on how to do this?

I have already visited Fiji, Tahiti, Cook Islands, Easter Island, Australia, and New Zealand.  Hope to do a trip which visits 5 or more 6 islands in a 3 week period.

Thanks,

Anush

  • I did fly Air Nauru March 8&9 from Marshall Islands to Nauru via Kiribati and it was OK.  However, the island of Nauru was terrible.  Dirty, unfriendly people, mean biting dogs and very expensive/BAD hotels.  I wish I just had a shot stop but spending the night was very unpleasant.

  • You could try Air Brokers Intl. in San Francisco. I dealt with them years ago. The other thing is  Fiji Airways (former Air Pacific) has flight packages to a lot of South Pacific. You could even stop in Kiribati (Kirtimati Island) on the Nadi- Honolulu-Los Angeles Portion then go from Nadi to Honiara (Guadalcanal) with a stop over in Port Vila Vanuatu along the way. Now if you want to hold your breath on something like Air Nauru....well..... agh nugh knuk...(excuse me clearing my throat) then I'll cross my fingers for you :>)

  • You can buy a "Pacific Air Pass"  good for 30 days  or you buy a package deal called "Around the Pacific" from a San Fransico based travel consolidator

  • Thanks,

I live on the East Coast of the USA.  I have flown former Continental Airlines (Now United)  to several of the Pacific islands from Guam.  But now am more interested in the South Pacific.

I am leaving in September for the Cook Islands and Tahiti on a 2 week trip.  However, on my next trip want to visit more islands without  but having to go back to NZ or Australia.

    Happy travels,

  • Hi Anush

I dont know where you live but i have done many journeys to the pacific ,the 1 i loved was take continental airlines plane from Honolulu via Majuro,Kwajalain (Marshal isl) Pohnpei (micronesia) get off plane ocean view hotel. plane via Chuuk,to Guam get off plane and take return flight to Palau, can be done with few hours on airport, then from Guam returnflight to Saipan northern marianas then make your way home from Guam good flights via Japan and Korea that will give you 5,streach the time to your 3 weeks.you can do this in reverse.

    Good journeys Michael Jackson
