I'm flying to Samoa with Adventures Abroad and would like to drop over to American Samoa a day or two before the trip starts while I am there.  There doesn't seem to be any easy flights (that I have seen), although I saw that Samoa Shipping has a ferry that goes between Apia and Pago Pago.  Has anyone made the connection between the two islands?  Your advice would be appreciated.

  • I'm planning to do something like this sometime around in the new decade 2030. I was going to do the Samoa trip by either cruise or by land but it got really expensive. So I'm opting for 2026 to do South Pacific Cruise!

The NCL Cruise for 2026 is like the total of $4700 for the interior room for 2. ?? Wow...That is really expensive. The Cruise I'm doing is significantly cheaper than the NCL Norwegian Cruise Line!

The South Pacific Cruise that is significantly cheaper than NCL Cruise is the Carnival one. It goes from Sydney, Australia to New Caledonia, Fiji and Vanuatu!

  • Yes, We took a day-trip to American Samoa, by air, in 2006.

Rented a car from a private person working at the airport.
