Thank you. If I ever would have thought something like Margarita Island would make it I would have stopped on the first swing through Venezuela. At least I didn't go to Angola only to have Cambinda added later, looking to go in the fall.

not ....automatically. Actually I shoewd up without one-exactly because i did'nt know if I needed one-and they were disturbed . I feel that if you ask from the Director General of the Ministry of Security (Mr Abdikhadar Gure Muse ) to grant you a letter for a visa upon arrival he will ....deny for safety reasons.
Then you cannot go pretending you were not aware.(as i did)
You can go easily in/out from Dubai to Garowe (the capital) on Jubba airlines. The Bossaso airport (the big port city in the north) is closed for a year for re-pavement . You will change aircraft in Hargeisha because the airport at Garowe is small gravel airport where 1 old Russian Ilyushin is flying. The authorities are not very happy to see foreigners without their permit there, because they are afraid if something happens to them, it will have impact on the reputation of their territory. The hotels ARE ALWAYS FULL because of NGO and returning Somalis . So be prepared for compromises.!!

yea Puntland is accessible through Somalialand the flight originates out of Dubai goes to Dijoubti and after Puntland it goes to Mogadishu There are a few nice decent hotels there I did the research a long time ago, where the pirates headquater themselves is the town to go to! I plan on going there, I had a plane ticket but my flight was cancelled for 3 days and I couldnt hang around for it so I went to Saudi Arabia instead

when did you go? Did you have armed guards as seems everyone who goes there does?
