Northern Pakistan

Has anyone traveled there and can share with me how you coped with the altitude? I am going there in May.

Thanks.  Carol Anderson

Thank you so much, Jane.  This is helpful.  I have delayed my trip until next year but am looking forward to going.

I have tried to attached a photo to whet your appetite but not sure if it has uploaded. Even if not, it is just beautiful up there with mountains, glaciers and rivers.

    Carol,

I have only just come across this and hope I caught you before departure. I was in north Pakistan in 2019 and will be there again in July this year. It is stunning and you will love it. The altitude can be a bit trying but I didn't find it distressing. I took acetazolimide, also sometimes called Diamox, and was very careful to keep very well hydrated. I also took things easy, not hurrying too much.
