I found this site while looking for information about the Trans-Siberian Railway. http://www.seat61.com/index.html
It looks like it could be a good source for rail and ferry travel information around the world.

Hi David,
I'd be interested in hearing about her experiences. If it's not too much trouble, could you ask if I could exchange emails with her?

My coworker's daughter took that train this year. She might have insight on the TSR.
Oh yes - Seat61.com has detailed information on plenty of rail and ferry trips. It's best for Europe but covers most rail trips in the world.
Especially good for connection info - how to transfer between stations (eg Paris) rail to ferry etc in considerable detail. Plenty of photos to see what cabins/seats are like and advice on the best/cheapest way to buy a ticket.
An essential for any TCC member - good tip.
