Hotel Føroyar is very nice and just above the capital city Tórshavn about a 15 minute walk below and which has plenty of places to eat. You don't need a tour. Strongly recommend you rent a car reserved at the airport and self drive as most of the important islands and sights are connected by tunnels and excellent roads. Very easy to get around. And gloriously beautiful.
