2018 - Barcelona weekend

Good evening fellow members:

Thank you for your incredible patience with me in securing meeting space for our upcoming international get together in Barcelona.

I was hoping to hear back from the NH hotel, but have still not at this time. Therefore, I picked up where I left off and resubmitted 3 RFP’s to area hotels. Any of them could be a good fit and, at least, all had space in January.

I hope to hear from them by Monday and post my findings on the Forum by Tuesday. Thank you again for your patience.

How many of you are planning to come?

Just emailed my application and payment information for the meeting. Been to Barcelona twice before, but once just for a day before a cruise and the second time passing through on the way to Andorra. Looking forward to seeing you and the other members coming.

Looking forward to attending. Still have to send in my form, but so far looks like I'll be in Barcelona 5 days over at the Hilton (well connected with the metro), then head out to Llivia by car or bus to knock that enclave and Languedoc off my to do list. The Sunday tour looks interesting.

Somehow your response did not generate a notification to us.

We do have a negotiated rate of 230€ and 265€ respectively. I'll email you the form. (For other members who want to get a jump on this and not wait for the Centurian, send me an email).

Has TCC arranged any kind of group discount for Hotel 1898? I just checked their website (hotel1898.com) and right now they are running a discount for bookings (EUR 262 vs EUR 314 per night for our dates in October). Wondering if I should go ahead and book my own reservation or wait on a better deal from a TCC group booking.

Edit: And hotels.com has it at USD 276 today

I’m looking forward to it. I hope we have great attendance. I already bought my plane tickets across the pond. I’ve allowed a day and a half before the meeting to do a good tour of Barcelona (anyone like to join me?). Then after the meeting I plan to spend a couple weeks driving around Spain.
